About Me

Hello and Welcome to Arto Studio Blog!!!

My name is Eloisa, I’m Brazilian living in US for 13 years!

I grew up in an artistic environment having my mom always creating what made me very interested in the crafts and creative world. Back  in Brazil, I earned my degree in Translation (English and French). After some years of my college I got married and in 2006 me and my husband moved to United States to start our brand new life.

In 2007 my husband gave me as a gift my first sewing machine, it was a Bernina that I still use today in my new projects and inventions. In 2010, my husband gave me an overlock machine and after that I’ve been trying a lot of others crafts including: crocheting, drawing, painting, paper making, soap making, etc… Today I have a professional Juki sewing machine which is one of the best heavy duty sewing machines on the market! It is a wonderful achievement for my studio.

In 2010 I started blogging to share with the world all my sewing products, as bags and  pouches that I was creating using and experimenting different sewing techniques  but only in 2016 I started the Artlo Studio’s You Tube Channel where I share tips and show how to do videos including crafts, sewing and thrifting!

Doing my best to show people that the sustainability is very important today I always had the opportunity to talk about it in my videos and here at the blog! Sustainability today is so important and to respect our environment is crucial in the Fashion Industry!

Besides the sustainability and crafts here you will find tutorials on how to make your own soaps, some beauty products, gardening and herbs. I love to be connected to the nature and I hope you love it too!

My favorite medias are paper and fabric (of course) and I love everything related to it: fabric manipulation, surface designs, natural fabric dyeing, textile art, paper making and paper mâché.

In 2017 I started my Fashion Design Bachelor’s Degree at Miami International University Of Art and Design where I’ve been not only learning to design garments and other important skills that we need in the Industry, but I’m having this great opportunity to learn from great teachers and to be in touch with others creative minds. Now that I just got my degree in fashion design I feel that I can move on in learning more stuff!

From all of the things that I’ve been experimenting, I am sure that I have a lot to learn and accomplish and I’m very happy for all the opportunities that had happened to me during all this time. I’m open and ready for new challenges and great adventures.

So I hope you enjoy being around here and if you have any questions please contact me!

Thanks for your visit!!!!
